Stephen Chao, who has studied up on Plato and played up studs, will be president of Fox’s budding news division.
After studying classics at Harvard, Chao, 36, worked as a reporter for the National Enquirer and created the TV show “Studs.” He also developed such tabloid shows for Fox as “America’s Most Wanted” and “Cops.”
Chao’s appointment is aimed at jump-starting the Fox News Service, which has yet to advance beyond the planning stage.
