Airport Locations

Lindbergh Field near downtown San Diego is the county’s only major commercial airport. It is operated by the San Diego Unified Port District. Smaller general aviation air fields in San Diego Country are: 2) Brown Field, border area, operated by the City of San Diego. 3) Fallbrook Community Airpark, Fallbrook. 4) Gillespie Field, El Cajon. 5) Montgomery Field, Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. 6) Oceanside Municipal Airport, Oceanside. 7) Palomar Airport, Carlsbad. 8) Ramona Airport, Ramona. (East County fields not shown on map are Agua Caliente Springs Airstrip; Borrego Valley Airport, Borrego Springs; Jacumba Airstrip and Ocotillo Wells Airport). Tijuana International Airport (9) is just across the border, close to the Otay Mesa border crossing. The principal military airports in the county are 10) Miramar Naval Air Station in San Diego and 11) North Island Naval Air Station in Coronado.
