COUNTYWIDE : Executives to Become Principals for a Day

Share

Some Orange County business executives are going back to school.

Their return to classrooms throughout the county is part of Educational Partnership Week 1992, March 23 through 27, in which business leaders will assume positions as principals for a day.

The new principals, working with their real-life counterparts, are expected to engage in a day full of classroom visits, staff meetings, discipline problems and other activities, according to a statement issued by the Orange County Department of Education.

County officials said more than 100 local business executives have agreed to take part in the activities which are intended to increase the community’s knowledge of local education issues.

“Being on the firing line, even for just a day, will improve communications between schools and the business community,” said Dr. John F. Dean, county superintendent of schools.
