Glendale
Elm Avenue, 1100 block--A prowler cut a hole through the screen door of an apartment on the afternoon of March 9 while the resident was home and stole a purse containing $70.
East Acacia Avenue, 600 block--A man claiming to be a roofer coming to refund an overcharge came into a home March 12. When he left, the resident noticed her purse and another wallet with $890 were gone.
North Verdugo Road, 500 block--A man reported someone poured a white substance on his trees March 12 or 13. The trees, valued at $1,500, were killed.
Valley View Road, 1200 block--Two men and two juveniles were arrested for auto burglary March 13 after police found them with numerous tools used in car break-ins.
Carlton Drive, 1200 block--A TV and VCR were stolen from a church March 13 or 14.
South Brand Boulevard, 1300 block--A man walking down the street at 2:24 a.m. March 16 reported that he was robbed of $40 by two men after he refused to have sex with one of the men.
La Canada Flintridge
St. Katherine Drive, 400 block--A light board valued at $1,000 was stolen from the drama department of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy on March 8 or 9.
Harter Lane, 5200 block--Someone smashed the window of a home in a burglary attempt at 9 a.m. March 13 but fled after an alarm sounded and police arrived.
Atwater
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3000 block--A gas station attendant was robbed at gunpoint of $370 at 8:05 p.m. March 11.
Glendale Boulevard, 3000 block--The occupant of a car was ordered out at gunpoint at 3 p.m. March 15 and the car was stolen.
Glendale Boulevard, 2400 block--Four assailants struck a person in a parking facility with a baseball bat and then took the victim’s wallet, containing $360, at 8 p.m. March 14.
Eagle Rock
Kipling Avenue, 1100 block--Cameras and equipment valued at $1,100 were stolen from a home during the day March 9.
Buchanan Street, 5100 block--Burglars pried open a window of a home, ransacked it, and stole money and jewelry worth a total value of $3,625 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. March 9.
Colorado Boulevard, 2500 block--Business machines and computer equipment valued at $1,560 were stolen from an office March 12 or 13.
Colorado Boulevard, 900 block--Burglars forced open the window of an office March 13 and stole business machines and computer equipment valued at $2,800.
Neola and Figueroa streets--A thief pushed a woman to the ground and stole her purse containing $65 at 7:30 p.m. March 13.
Verdugo Road, 4000 block--Money and liquor valued at $6,385 were stolen from a mini-market March 14 or 15.
Echo Park
North Alvarado Street, 1900 block--Burglars forced open the side window of a home between 5:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. March 9. Video equipment and a stereo valued at $740 were stolen.
Avenue 26 and Figueroa Street--A person waiting at a bus stop at 8:30 a.m. March 9 was robbed at knifepoint of $155 by three suspects.
Allesandro Street, 2100 block--A pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint of jewelry valued at $475 at 9:35 p.m. March 12.
Highland Park
Ellenwood Drive, 4400 block--Burglars broke into an apartment, ransacked it, and took cameras and a typewriter worth a total of $1,388 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 9.
Figueroa Street and Avenue 58--A thief with a knife took money and jewelry valued at $1,785 from a person in a parking facility at 5 p.m. March 9.
Figueroa Street, 4900 block--A man in a park was robbed of $60 and stabbed repeatedly in the back by three assailants at 8:15 p.m. March 9.
Aratina Street, 1000 block--Video equipment valued at $2,400 was stolen from a home during the day March 10.
Irvington Place and Avenue 53--Luggage and jewelry valued at $110 were snatched from a person walking on the street by five suspects at 8:30 p.m. March 10.
Figueroa Street and Avenue 58--A woman was forced at gunpoint into a man’s vehicle, held there for 19 hours while the kidnaper talked about his marital problems and then robbed of $150 before she was released March 10.
York Boulevard, 5200 block--Thieves cut the security bars of a clothing store March 10 or 11 and stole industrial equipment and clothing valued at $18,200.
Figueroa Street, 6300 block--A person leaving an ATM machine dropped $20 on the ground and fled after a robber struck the person on the head with a rock.
North Avenue 56, 1600 block--Art objects valued at $4,000 were stolen from a home on March 11 or 12.
Garvanza Avenue, 6400 block--Burglars pried open the rear door of an apartment and stole a television and video equipment valued at $3,140 during the day March 13.
Glassell Park
San Fernando Road and Fletcher Drive--A pedestrian was robbed of $300 by two suspects armed with a knife at 5 p.m. March 13.
Los Feliz
Glenmanor Place, 4100 block--Thieves entered an open business March 7 or 8 and stole a stereo and TV valued at $3,400.
Mt. Washington
Avenue 46 and North Figueroa Street--Three assailants stabbed a person in a park and stole $60 from the person at 7 p.m. March 9.
Figueroa Street, 4500 block--Thieves opened the security gate of a business March 9 or 10, possibly with a key, and stole money and cameras valued at $1,850.
Avenue 45 and Figueroa Street--Three thieves tricked a person into letting them hold $2,000 March 10, then absconded with the money.
Silver Lake
North Alvarado Street, 1200 block--Burglars entered a church through a side window March 9 or 10 and stole musical equipment and household goods valued at $1,100.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--A robber stole $637 from a bank March 11.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--Two robbers put a screwdriver to a pedestrian’s neck at 6 p.m. March 9 and took $160.
Silver Lake Boulevard, 1500 block--Thieves picked the lock of an apartment and stole video equipment and recorded music valued at $1,600 during the day on March 13.
Silver Lake Boulevard, 1500 block--Computer equipment valued at $3,615 was stolen from a home during the day on March 13.
East Hollywood
Franklin Avenue, 4900 block--A TV and stereo valued at $3,750 were stolen from a home between noon and 2 p.m. March 13.
Hillhurst Avenue, 2000 block--A business was broken into on March 13. Money and other property valued at $1,260 were reported stolen.
