Ford Recalls 517,600 1988-91 Trucks: The No. 2 U.S. auto maker said it was recalling the trucks because they may need front brake modifications. The company said that in severe driving conditions, the vehicles may experience a loss of front braking power because of overheated brake fluid. The rear brakes would remain operational. The F-250 and F-350 trucks have more than 8,500 pounds of gross vehicle weight rating and are equipped with 7.5-liter electronic fuel injection, 7.3-liter diesel or 5.8-liter electronic fuel injection four-by-four engines.
