Angel pitcher Matt Keough was released from Scottsdale Memorial Hospital and returned home to Coto de Caza, less than four days after he underwent emergency brain surgery.

Keough was struck on the right side of his head by a line drive Monday while sitting in the visitors’ dugout at Scottsdale Stadium. He underwent a 90-minute operation to remove a blood clot, and doctors predict that he will make a full recovery.

Right-hander Don Robinson won the fifth spot in the rotation by pitching five innings during the Angels’ 6-4 victory over Milwaukee at Angels Stadium in Palm Springs.

“His velocity was good,” said Manager Buck Rodgers, who is still looking for his fourth starter. “I go on hitter reaction, and the hitter reaction was outstanding--for Don Robinson, not for the hitters.”

Mark Langston has a mild inflammation in his right knee but intends to pitch Sunday as scheduled. . . . Relief pitcher Bryan Harvey, who was struck on the inside of his right arm by a line drive Wednesday, was held out of Friday’s game as a precaution.
