Mike Perez threw a 38-yard scoring pass to Chad Fortune and linebacker Willie Don Wright recovered a fumble in the end zone as the Frankfurt Galaxy upset the Barcelona Dragons, 17-0, in the World League of American Football season opener before 25,788 at Barcelona’s Montjuic Stadium.
Sacramento defeated Birmingham, 20-6, in the other opening day game.
