A response from a “mindless” fan of David Letterman to Maria Lee’s letter (TV Times, March 1): You’ve got it backward. It’s the “dumb” people of America who don’t understand the show. The whole idea of the program is to be the antithesis of all other TV pabulum. I thought the “10th Anniversary Special” was wonderful. You can’t judge a show that’s on more than 200 times a year based on one show.
