Aced It: “JFK” was named the best-edited feature film of the year at the American Cinema Editors 42nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday. Editors Joe Hutshing and Pietro Scalia beat out editors for the other nominees, “The Silence of the Lambs” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” The best edited documentary award went to “Hearts of Darkness” editors Michael Greerand Jay Miracle for the film about the making of the movie “Apocalypse Now.” Director Francis Ford Coppola received a special award, the ACE Golden Eddie.
