Death Penalty Controversy
So we will become a murdering state again soon, after 25 years. Is this an accomplishment? The execution of anyone is not a reflection on their crime, but on the spiritual bankruptcy of those who kill them in the name of justice.
I also have wondered for years where all the right-to-lifers are, screaming about the sanctity of life (with President Bush waving his pompons in the background) when the state pursues killing its grown citizens. Are we like fish: Throw ‘em back when they’re little, kill ‘em when they’re big?
