The antics of comedy duo Roseanne and Tom Arnold will unfold Saturday at the Ventura Theatre.

America’s No. 1 sitcom mom and her partner-in-crime hubby will perform two shows, both of which seem to be attracting quite a crowd.

“The dinner show seating for the first performance has been sold out for a while now,” said Betty Elder of the Ventura Theatre.

Although Tom Arnold has written and collaborated with Roseanne for more than eight years, the couple, married in 1990, have hit the road occasionally.

“They’re calling this their Honeymoon Tour,” publicist Barry Stitch said.

The evening will proceed something like this: “Tom takes the stage first, then Roseanne and they’ll both end together,” Stitch said. “But,” he added, “there’s no telling what will happen with those two.”

The wisecracking, sometimes belligerent Roseanne Arnold--star of television’s smash hit “Roseanne”--has attracted a loyal following of fans who see her as the comedic voice of working women.

Concert-goers, Stitch said, will hear plenty of new material, much of which has them poking fun at each other, their adversaries and life as they see it.

The Arnolds will perform at 7 and 9:30 p.m. General seating only is available for the first show. Limited seating for dinner is still available for the second concert, including general admission. Tickets are $22.50 for each performance and can be purchased at the Ventura Theatre box office or through Ticketmaster outlets. The theater is at 26 S. Chestnut St. For information or reservations, call 648-1888.
