Presidential Bid of H. Ross Perot

I find it ironic, but most appropriate, that the announcement of H. Ross Perot’s intent to launch his campaign for President was published March 20, the first day of spring. What a welcomed breath of fresh air and sunlight on this rainy day.
Spring--the beginning of a new season, a time when the weather becomes warmer, plants revive and the cycle of life is renewed once again.
How appropriate indeed following the latest scandal(s) to hit Congress: use of the “club” bank and post office as King George (I can call him that; I helped vote him into office) wanders about, seemingly out of touch with the realities of our domestic situation. I, for one, am fed up with the stalemated finger-pointing of both the Democrats and the Republicans. Whatever happened to the principle of “for the common good” and being held accountable and appropriately rewarded for our actions or non-actions?
Hooray, spring has sprung and it’s in the form of an old American tradition. An independent, not an isolationist, but an independent. I think the President, the Congress and their employer, we the American people, are about to learn our first in-house lesson from Alvin Toffler’s recent publication, “Power Shift,” and what it’s all about.
