What’s New: KCET will start airing a new weekly news analysis series Friday afternoon, but this one has a twist--the participants are all women. “To the Contrary” (2:30 p.m. on Channel 28) will be hosted by Bonnie Erbe, the legal affairs correspondent for Mutual/NBC Radio who is also a lawyer and syndicated newspaper columnist. The rotating panelists will include Nina Totenberg of National Public Radio and Linda Chavez, political commentator for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. “Contrary” comes from Maryland Public Television. . . . Meanwhile, KCET has added a new face to its own nightly news magazine series, “Life & Times.” Los Angeles journalist Ruben Martinez will be a co-host on the Monday and Friday segments (7:30 p.m. on Channel 28). He replaces public policy expert John Ochoa, who helped launch the series in January.
