San Diego : Robbers Get Away With Diamonds
Two robbers made off with a bag of diamonds taken from a Horton Plaza jewelry store Thursday, police said.
They entered the Zale’s store shortly before 10 a.m., grabbed diamonds from a display case, and placed them in a white shopping bag, according to police. No one was injured and there were no customers in the store.
A store employee told police the robbers knew what they were looking for and estimated the loss at more than $100,000, police said.
