MGM Case Settled: Three insurance companies have agreed to a $19.45-million settlement with MGM-Pathe Communications Co. and former MGM owner Kirk Kerkorian. MGM and Kerkorian had accused the insurers of forcing them into a bad-faith settlement of a class-action case brought by disgruntled MGM shareholders. The companies involved in the settlement are Harbor Insurance, Forum Insurance and Associated International Insurance. Attorney William M. Shernoff said the case is proceeding against a fourth insurance company, National Union.
