Officers Seek Help From Public to Identify 2 Bodies
Sheriff’s investigators have asked for the public’s help in identifying the body of a man found in an orange grove this week, less than a week after a woman’s body was found in the same field.
Both were killed by a blow to the head. Investigators said there is no evidence that the two slayings are related.
The man is described as Latino, 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet, 9 1/2 inches tall, and weighing 184 pounds. He has a mustache and a one-inch vertical scar on his left cheek, authorities said.
The woman, who has not been identified, is white, 18 to 24 years of age, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 110 pounds. She wore a white, short-sleeved T-shirt, blue floral-print baggy pants with a drawstring and a pair of navy blue shorts.
Farm workers found the woman’s body March 26 and then found the man’s body five days later in an orange grove off Sand Canyon Avenue near the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.
Anyone with information on the identities of the two people is asked to call the Orange County coroner’s office at (714) 647-7410.
