Heeeeeeere’s Chevy: Chevy Chase will host a late-night comedy talk show for Fox Broadcasting as part of a new agreement with 20th Television and 20th Century Fox that calls for him to star in, produce and develop television and film projects. Monday’s announcement said the late-night show will have “its own brand of subversive, irreverent humor with a variety of comedy sketches and conversations with celebrity guests.” The six-nights-a-week show, to be launched in the fall of 1993, marks a return to television for Chase, who was in the original cast of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in the mid-1970s. Said Chase of the upcoming show: “Basically, it will be an exact copy of David Letterman without the gap between his teeth. That’s a lie, which of course, my show will be.”
