A look inside Hollywood and the movies. : THE FABULOUS BALDWIN BROTHERS : First William . . . ‘Fatal Attraction’ With a Kicker?

You could almost hear a fork drop when “Fatal Attraction” producer Sherry Lansing and director Adrian Lyne showed up for lunch last week on the set of “Three of Hearts,” currently shooting in an abandoned warehouse in Culver City.

Lansing and Lyne didn’t come all the way from Paramount Pictures for the barbecued chicken and brown rice; they were there to meet with William Baldwin about playing opposite Demi Moore and possibly Robert Redford in Paramount’s “Indecent Proposal,” the story of a man who offers a down-on-their-luck, happily married couple $1 million for the chance to spend the night with the woman.

Baldwin, who had lunch with Lansing and Lyne in his trailer for over an hour, says he’s read the “Indecent Proposal” screenplay and thinks there’s a great part for him. “It’s a terrific script,” says Baldwin, who starred in “Backdraft.” “It has all the makings of being a real commercial film.” Was he offered the part? “They haven’t officially offered it to me,” he admits. “They’re just scoping me out.”

According to a spokesman for Lansing, “The part is wide open. They would rather not comment on who’s up for it, because then the people who don’t get it will be disappointed.” The spokesman said Lansing and Lyne “are huge fans of William Baldwin and that was confirmed by meeting him.”
