Officials Seek to Link Deaths of 6 Women
Authorities searched for possible links among the deaths of six women whose bodies have been discovered within a mile of each other.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Peter Francese offered few details about the deaths of three women found within 100 yards of each other Friday and two women discovered in a nearby building--one Wednesday, the other in August.
The only connections are that all are black and all were slain, Francese said at a news conference Saturday.
The body of the sixth woman, also black, was found Saturday, just 30 feet from where one of the bodies was discovered Friday, state police said.
