Two more gang members have been arrested on suspicion of murder in the slaying of a Woodland Hills man who chased them following a 7-Eleven robbery, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.

A third youth was arrested earlier, and a fourth was arrested on suspicion of burglary for giving the three a ride to the convenience store, police said.

Jose M. Murillo, 18, of Van Nuys, a 14-year-old Van Nuys boy and a 15-year-old girl from Panorama City were in custody on suspicion of murder in the Sunday shooting of Christopher L. Brown, 24, outside a 7-Eleven in the 17000 block of Burbank Boulevard in Encino.

Murillo, who is suspected of shooting Brown, was being held without bail at West Valley Jail, Detective Joel Price said. The two minors, whose names were not released, were being held at Juvenile Hall in Sylmar, police said. The three are scheduled to be arraigned in Van Nuys Municipal Court today.

Juan P. Hernandez, 19, of Reseda, was being held at West Valley Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail on suspicion of burglary because he allegedly gave the trio a ride to the store.

Investigators were led to the three teen-agers by fellow gang members who turned up at Northridge Hospital Medical Center late Sunday, erroneously thinking that one of their own, possibly the 14-year-old boy, had been shot, Detective Rick Swanston said. Their inquiry provided the hospital staff and police with clues including the auto license plate numbers of his friends who asked about him. With that information, detectives were able to track down the youths.

Brown, who wanted to be a police officer, was eating a hot dog with friends outside the 7-Eleven late Sunday when two men and a girl ran from the store with 12-packs of beer.

Brown chased them and was shot in the chest when he cornered one. All three robbers then fled.
