A crowded Sizzler restaurant in Ventura was robbed Sunday afternoon, police said.

No one was hurt, and none of the about 200 customers knew what had happened, said Manager Justin Duckworth.

The robber entered the restaurant in the 4000 block of East Main Street about 1:15 p.m. and asked a cashier for change, police said.

When the clerk opened the register, the robber pointed a gun in her face, grabbed cash from the drawer and ran, police said.

He was chased by a Sizzler employee, but escaped with an undetermined amount of money, police said.

Police have no suspects, but the robber is described as a white man in his early 30s with a slender build and about 6 feet, 5 inches tall.
