BELL : Student, 15, Arrested in Slaying of Classmate
A 15-year-old Bell High School student has been arrested in connection with the shooting last week of a classmate who died three days after the attack, a Bell Police Department spokesman said Monday. The name of the suspect was not released because of his age.
Lt. Brad Hooper of the Bell Police Department said that the victim, Louis Carrillo, 18, belonged to a gang involved in a feud with the suspect’s gang. Carrillo was shot in the head at point-blank range as he walked to school last Wednesday morning. Hooper said several witnesses identified the suspect as the gunman.
