OXNARD : Shooting Critically Wounds Man, 22
A 22-year-old Oxnard man was shot in the chest outside his house Saturday morning, police said.
Rudy Garcia was in critical condition Saturday afternoon at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, the nursing supervisor said.
His brother, Albert Garcia, heard a shot outside their house on the 1500 block of South B Street about 10:30 a.m. and ran out to find that Rudy had been hit, said Oxnard Police Sgt. Chuck Hookstra.
No witnesses were found, but a black Chevrolet is believed to be the getaway car, Hookstra said.
Investigators, who have not determined yet whether the shooting was gang related, have no one in custody, Hookstra said.
