Sampras Advances to Final at Ojai
Top-seeded Stella Sampras of Palos Verdes Estates defeated Ingrid Kurta of El Cajon, 6-2, 6-3, Saturday in a semifinal match in the women’s singles division at the Ojai Valley tennis tournament.
Sampras, a former UCLA standout in her first year as a professional, will play second-seeded Lisa Seeman of Solvang in today’s final.
In the girls’ 18 doubles final, Nicole London of Rolling Hills Estates teamed with Nicole Hummel of San Marino to defeat Erika Asmuss and Jocelyn Cruz of La Palma, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.
