THOUSAND OAKS : 11 Indicted on Drug Trafficking Charges
Eleven men suspected of running a marijuana trafficking ring face arraignment Friday, officials said Wednesday.
Indictments handed down by the Ventura County grand jury Tuesday involved conspiracy to transport and sell marijuana, Deputy Dist. Atty. Gregory G. Phillips said.
The suspects are Gordon Legault Sr., 45, his son Gordon Jr., 19, David Drew, 25, Medgen Aldrich, 30, and Bartley Wilkins, 27, all of Monterey County; George Bernardasci, 50, of Hawaii; Ricardo Aldana, 38, Jorge Aldana, 45, Daniel Rojas, 24, and Donael Flores, 24, all of Orange County; and Randall Ralston, 40, of Agoura.
The men were arrested April 11 after Ventura County narcotics detectives stopped a caravan of cars on Parkway Calabasas en route to a drop-off point in Thousand Oaks. Deputies seized 103 pounds of marijuana, $25,000 in cash, a handgun and a rifle.
Two of the men, Gordon Legault Sr. and Bernardasci, also are charged with conspiracy to purchase and sell cocaine. The elder Legault and Ralston were charged with furnishing and delivering cocaine, Phillips said.
