** The Soup Dragons, “Hot-wired,” Mercury. A deejay once extolled the Scottish group’s songwriting, and then by way of example played what was actually a Rolling Stones composition they had recorded, “I’m Free.” An album later, it remains the best song in the band’s repertoire.
