SPOILED SUNDAYS
Echoing the sentiments expressed in Kenneth J. Preble’s Letter, please don’t spoil any more Sundays for your Book Review’s avid readers.
I refer not only to the propensity of your reviewers to speculate on an author’s intentions (often denied by the authors later) but also to the lengthy, all-revealing synopses of the books reviewed in your section.
There’s no sense buying a book if we are told the plot ahead of time.
