$250 Prizes Offered for Best Photos Taken at Rose Hills

Rose Hills Memorial Park is sponsoring its sixth annual amateur photography contest. Entries may be submitted until June 30.

First-place prizes of $250 will be awarded for best photograph of the cemetery and for the best photograph of the Pageant of Roses Garden. Three honorable mentions also will be selected in each category, with winners receiving $50 each.

Photos submitted must be in color and no smaller than 8 by 11 inches and no larger than 11 by 14 inches, mounted on single-weight white matte boards. No entry fee is required.

Four photos may be submitted in each category.

All photos will be displayed in the Nixon Room at the Whittier Library July 15 to 29 and will be considered for use in the Rose Hills 1993 calendar.
