Dornan Plight Fails to Win Sympathy Vote

Please allow me to ask three questions:

1) Following a modern-day “hip replacement” (as Dornan mentioned that he had sustained) did not his orthopedist, and later, his physiotherapist, instruct him regarding activity and positioning in various situations? This is standard procedure and takes care of most situations--either “how to do” or “not to do.” Surely this would have included “vehicular transportation,” including autos and airplanes.

2) What type vehicle did his wife use to take him to the airport and later return him home when he was put off the plane? Did it have the tilt seats he insisted having in the airplane?

3) Had the airline on which Congressman Dornan booked passage allowed him to keep his seat reclined and then had some accident--and he was injured because his seat was reclined against FAA regulations on takeoff and landings--would Congressman Dornan then also have sued?

In the Navy, we called it RHIP (Rank Has Its Privileges), but even the captain of the ship follows the rules of the sea where safety is concerned.
