SAN DIEGO : $5,000 Reward for Arrest of Sniper
Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a sniper who fired about a dozen shots early Friday morning at two officers riding in a patrol car. The officers, Bob Anschick and Stuart Littlefield, were not injured, but their car took several hits.
The incident occurred at 12:03 a.m. near the trolley station at 62nd Street and Akins Avenue. Police said the suspect drove off in a large, loud car. A task force of officers from the homicide, intelligence and gang units has been formed to arrest the sniper.
