DEMAND TO HELP: The Orange County Red Cross chapter says the L.A. riots have brought an outpouring of people who want to be trained to be volunteer workers in disaster situations. . . . “This has produced an emotional response that’s been incredible,” says the Red Cross’ Judy Iannocone. “People have seen the Red Cross in this disaster, and in Guadalajara, and they want to be involved.” One training session takes place tonight, and the Red Cross chapter may set up a second one this week to accommodate requests.
