Orange Park Acres Figure Manuel Buzo Dies at Age 82

Lifelong county resident Manuel Buzo has died at age 82 after a short illness.
Buzo was born in Orange on March 2, 1910, and attended Oliver Grammar School and Orange High School. After graduation, he went to work at the Orange Park Acres Land Co.
During his 25 years with the company, Buzo was responsible for the subdivision’s road grading.
In 1959, he joined Orange Park Acres Mutual Water Co. as a water master, a position he held until his retirement in 1975. County supervisors presented him with a commendation for his years of service to the community.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hortensia; a son, David of Oregon; daughters, Roberta Hoyt of Las Vegas, Rita Reyes of Orange, Maria Budke of Laguna Hills, Marcella Momeni of Orange Park Acres and Laura Sosa of Santa Ana; brothers, Don, Amador and Frank; sisters, Joanne Hartwick and Cecilia Tobias, and 10 grandchildren.
Services are pending at Shannon-Donegan Funeral Home in Orange.
