LAPD’s Response to the Riot
Hundreds of courageous news reporters and camera crew braved the riot-torn streets of Los Angeles to bring the tragic incidents to our attention. Had Gates shown the same amount of courage by dispatching his force at the start of the terrible events, the 50-plus people killed during the crisis might have been alive today. Reginald Denny might not have ended up in a hospital bed nearly beaten to death. The emotionally battered citizens of South Los Angeles might have been able to buy groceries in their neighborhood stores this week.
Don’t let Gates point the finger or absolve himself. Get him out now!
