CSUN Presidential Finalists Cut to 3

Officials of the California State University system have narrowed to three the number of finalists for the presidency of Cal State Northridge, it was announced Tuesday.
The finalists are H. Ray Hoops, vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Mississippi; Claire A. Van Ummersen, chancellor of the University System of New Hampshire, and Blenda J. Wilson, chancellor of the University of Michigan at Dearborn. Ronald H. Stein, vice president for university relations at the State University of New York at Buffalo, was dropped from the list.
The trustees are scheduled to interview the three candidates separately Monday. Announcement of the new president will be made at CSUN on May 21.
