Wine Opportunities: On the European front, the World Trade Center Assn. of Orange County is leading a team of experts from California’s wine industry to study business opportunities for U.S. companies to invest in Hungary’s wine industry.
Jay DeLong, the Irvine trade group’s director of development, and four executives representing California’s wine industry will meet their counterparts in Budapest for a week, starting May 20, to discuss the possibility of setting up a joint venture to produce and sell wine in the European Community, where Hungary has a provisional status to join the economic bloc.
