ECONOMIC INDICATOR: At the A La Card greeting card shop in South Coast Plaza, they no longer put going-on-vacation cards out on the racks. They haven’t sold for a couple of years. . . . “They’re in the drawer,” says a spokeswoman. “People just aren’t going on vacations, I guess. . . . We also have goodby cards for people leaving companies or moving out of the area. Now those sell.”
