Lesson of Cooperation
For our family, the busing philosophy of Dr. Robert Docter (“The Man Behind Busing,” Times Valley View section, May 7) worked, because it was a Christian belief--an attitude change that begins in our hearts.
We will forever be grateful for this experience, for we are a less bigoted family.
It brought us all lessons of love, cooperation, understanding and real happiness.
Our youngest daughter is graduating from UC Irvine in June and has a degree in social psychology and Spanish.
I can’t help but think that her elementary school experience helped with this decision.
