PLATFORM : An Unfair Bias
The media flak regarding Pat Robertson taking over UPI was an excellent illustration of how the liberals in the media would react toward a Christian organization taking over the ownership of a secular, prestigious and highly respected news agency.
The secular world in general has a strong dislike of Christian organizations and people for a very good reason. They quite often, I’m sure, categorize them by the outrageous behavior of a few who have gone rotten like the Bakkers and Jimmy Swaggart, and there have been others. There are thousands of examples in the world of great men who are devout Christians who are anything but “nutty.”
If Pat Robertson does take over UPI, he will let the present staff continue as they have been doing over the years without any interference from him.
There isn’t any doubt in my mind that under Pat, UPI can be a model of excellence in reporting the news.
