O.C. Chamber Orchestra ‘92-93 Season Announced
The Orange County Chamber Orchestra has announced its 1992-93 season, four concerts to be conducted by OCCO music director Micah Levy at the Irvine Barclay Theatre:
* Nov. 1: Haydn’s Symphony No. 80; Suite from Lully’s “Amadis”; Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Fantasia Para un Gentilhombre” with guitar soloist to be announced; Elliott Carter’s Elegy.
* Jan. 14, 1993, a Mozart program: Violin Concerto No. 4 with Diana Halprin, soloist; Serenade No. 6 (“Serenata Notturna”); Symphony No. 16; a work to be announced.
* March 7: Jean Joseph Mouret’s Simphonie in D; Bach’s Concertos for one, two and four harpsichords; a Concerto Grosso in D by Telemann; Matthew Locke’s “Music from ‘The Tempest.”’ Soloists to be announced.
* May 6: Mozart’s Concerto No. 10 for Two Pianos, K. 365; Grieg’s “Elegiac Melodies”; Handel’s Concerto Grosso in C (“Alexander’s Feast”); Britten’s “Variations on a Theme by Frank Bridge. Soloists to be announced.
