Johnson’s Interview Not Exactly Magical for Many Readers
Earvin Johnson talks about making it a point to do business with black, or as he says, “my people,” and how he sends 20 to 30 students every year to school through the United Negro College Fund.
Where would Earvin be today if Jerry Buss and the other white NBA owners had wanted to hire only their people? How would he feel about a United Caucasian College Fund? What is wrong with a United Needy College Fund that affords an educational opportunity for needy youths regardless of race?
Earvin talks about growing up with prejudice and discrimination and then shows what he has learned from it by perpetuating it. I guess that all white people should take a clue from Earvin and employ only white people in the course of their business.
