LOS FELIZ : Korean Businessman Killed in Driveway of His Home
A Korean businessman was killed in the driveway of his Los Feliz home Thursday night by a gunman who shot him repeatedly as he stepped out of his Jeep, Los Angeles Police reported.
Detective Jim Tiampo said Friday that the killing of Sung Eun Kim was “not a random shooting,” and appeared to have been planned.
Kim, 37, was shot numerous times with a handgun as he returned home from work at about 7 p.m. He died about two hours later at Queen of Angeles-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Friends said that Kim, his wife, and their two young sons came to the United States from Seoul three years ago to help run businesses owned by his brother.
