Author Sues Over Movie Title Dispute: Author Stephen King wants his name removed from the title of the science fiction movie, “Stephen King’s Lawnmower Man.” In a Manhattan federal court suit, King charges that the title misleads moviegoers into believing that he was involved with the production. King admits selling rights to the short story the movie was based upon, but says the film “bore no meaningful resemblance” to his story. The film’s producer and distributor maintain that their deal with King included the right to use his name.
