Today: Supporters of Republican presidential candidate Patrick J. Buchanan will host a barbecue and rally at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura from noon until 3 p.m. Free food and refreshments provided by the campaign. Open to the public. For more information, call Gary Taylor at 658-8504.

Today: Assemblywoman Cathie Wright (R-Simi Valley) holds a noon rally for volunteers and supporters in the parking lot of her campaign office, 3655 Alamo St., Simi Valley. Wright is running for the open seat in the 19th state Senate District, which encompasses Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and portions of Los Angeles County.

Tuesday: At 7 a.m., Supervisor Maggie Erickson Kildee will address the Camarillo Breakfast Rotary at Bakers Square, 1620 E. Daily Drive, Camarillo. Erickson Kildee is running for reelection in the 3rd Supervisorial District, which includes Camarillo, Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore and western portions of Thousand Oaks. At the breakfast, Erickson Kildee will summarize the recent meeting between the county’s Council on Economic Vitality and Peter V.
