WOODLAND HILLS : Homeowners Sue to Block Plan for 3 Office Towers

The Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization has sued to stop construction of three office towers, saying Los Angeles officials withheld information about the project’s impact on surrounding neighborhoods.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, aims to stop the Gateway Center project, two 13-story towers and a 10-story building proposed for the northeast corner of Ventura and Topanga Canyon boulevards.
“It would essentially destroy the community,” said Robert Gross, president of the homeowners group.
The suit says the project would block the views of homeowners and would increase traffic, trash and sewage. It alleges that planning officials withheld information about whether the city would need to seize property to widen streets to accommodate traffic generated by the project.
