It’s getting to be a one-designer world.

Karl Lagerfeld (pictured) announced Monday in Paris that he is adding Chloe to the list of collections he now creates. Best-known in the States for his Chanel and Chanel Couture, he also crafts his own Karl Lagerfeld collection in Paris, as well as the Fendi collection in Italy.

He will unveil his first Chloe line in Paris next October at the spring ready-to-wear shows.

Lagerfeld replaces Martine Sitbon, who has been designing the Chloe collection along with with her own signature label.

“I have a vision for it, it’s not like taking on a new business,” said Lagerfeld of his new assignment.

Indeed, Lagerfeld designed under the Chloe label for 20 years, until he left to join Chanel in 1985.

His announcement was accompanied by another, that Dunhill Holdings, the luxury retail conglomerate, has purchased the designer’s own Karl Lagerfeld company from Revillon Luxe, for about $30 million, according to Lord Douro, chairman of Dunhill Holdings.

The company adds Lagerfeld to its other holdings: Alfred Dunhill, Hackett menswear, Mont Blanc pens, and, not surprisingly, Chloe.
