Lakewood : Awards Will Be Presented for Most Beautiful Homes

The most beautiful homes in the city will be honored at the 1992 Lakewood Beautiful awards reception at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Centre at Sycamore Plaza, 5000 Clark Ave. The competition recognizes homes displaying high standards of property maintenance, landscape planning and overall general appearance.

A record 463 homes were nominated this year. Volunteer judges chose 43 homes for first-place awards;r 68 received distinguished recognition commendations. Four grand prize winners, each in a different section of the city, were selected from among the first-place finishers.

“With the Lakewood Beautiful awards, we are trying to keep Lakewood a desirable community to live in,” said Teri Black, city community relations manager.
