San Diego : Convicted Rapist Faces Another Trial

A San Diego man convicted last week of raping a 14-year-old La Mesa girl was ordered to stand trial Wednesday on charges of raping a woman in her 20s.
Herman F. Wilson will remain in custody in lieu of $40,000 bail until his June 17 arraignment in Superior Court on charges of rape, rape with a foreign object, kidnaping and assault with a deadly weapon, officials said.
He is accused of attacking the woman Jan. 28, 1990, and taking her to his home.
Wilson will be sentenced June 29 for he rape of the 14-year-old and could receive a prison sentence of up to eight years.
