Tom Stansbury, a Texas district judge, has ordered Moses Malone, center for the Milwaukee Bucks, to stay away from his wife, Alfreda, who is suing Malone for divorce.

“It’s primarily because there’s been a history of physical and verbal abuse, and he has threatened to kill her on many occasions,” Alfreda Malone’s attorney, Judy Przyborski, said.

“He told her he would cut her up and douse her in gasoline and set her on fire if it would stop her from going through with the divorce,” she said. “She was basically terrified of him.”

Malone denied the accusations.
