Akron, Ohio-based Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said it has added nearly 1,000 workers to its payroll since Jan. 1, including about 840 workers recalled from layoffs at four North American plants . . .The Federal Reserve said the average yield for one-year Treasury bills, the most popular index for making changes in adjustable rate mortgages, was 4.27% last week, unchanged from a week earlier.
