Californians for Schools wants to thank the voters and The Times for their support of Proposition 152. Not only will this measure help pay for the building of new schools and the restoration of older facilities, but it will create more than 65,000 new jobs and help California’s sagging economy.

While there were some tense moments early on election night, Proposition 152 ended up passing by a healthy margin, showing once again that a majority of Californians consider education to be one of the state’s highest priorities.

All those actively supporting Proposition 152, including the California Chamber of Commerce, California Teachers Assn., California Business Roundtable, California Taxpayers’ Assn., Congress of California Seniors and the state’s 5 million public school students say “thank you” for your support on Proposition 152.
